The festival offers international church choirs the opportunity to collaborate in a mass choir setting to perform some of the world's most influential church repertoire. This year's festival, held in Rome, Italy, features performances at the Basilica of Saint John Lateran and the Papal Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore. The mass choir also has the opportunity to perform briefly for the General Papal Audience on the morning of Wednesday, June 13, and take a private tour of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel on Thursday, June 14. The feature festival performance commences on Friday, June 16, as the choirs amass in the gardens of the Papal Basilica of Saint Paul to perform with professional orchestral accompaniment.<br /><br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Mozart International Music Festival in Salzburg, Austria<br /><span style="font-weight: bold;"></span></span>June 27 through July 1, 2012<br /><br />The <a href="http://www.musiccelebrations.com/festivals/2012/pdfs/Mozart_2012Choral_Festival_Brochure.pdf">Mozart International Music Festival</a> will feature a large festival chorus under the direction of Dr. William Skoog, director of choral activities at Bowling Green State University, performing an eclectic selection of American and Western Classical works in addition to Mozart standards. Professor Janos Czifra, musical director at the Salzburg Cathedral, will conduct Mozart's masterpiece <span style="font-style: italic;">Missa Solemnis in C Major, K. 337, </span>accompanied by the Salburger Domorchester.
